PROJECT: The Elders

Description: The Elders is a new build residential development in Barnard Castle, made up of two different house types creating four dwellings: each with five bedrooms. Each plot size was maximised by utilising the roof to create master bedrooms. Traditional construction materials were used to compliment the surrounding area that is mainly stone and slate dwellings complete with sash windows. The development was in the rear garden to an existing dwelling that had a large curtilage. Every effort was made to retain the existing trees that were good specimens where possible and worked them into the scheme.
